SHE a night fairy

Twas I that led you Through the painted mead Where the light fairies danced Upon the flowers Hanging from every leaf An orient pearl! 1660 The wisdom of Dr. Dodypoll
The Child And The Fairies The woods are full of fairies! The trees are all alive; The river overflows with them, See how they dip and dive? What funny little fellows! What dainty little dears! They dance and leap And prance and peep, And utter fairy cheers! I'd like to tame a fairy, To keep it on a shelf, And dress it's little self! I'd teach it pretty manners. It always should say "Please". And the you know, I'd make it sew, And curtsey with it's knees! Sleep Song (Steven Kroll) How far and wide the fairies fly, On bright and golden wings. But when they settle down to sleep, A gentle song they sing. Sweet Queen of Night Soft silver stars We're glad you are so near. We seek of beds, We rest our heads, Without a moments fear. On thistledown, In hidden nooks, We watch the waning light. The joys of sleep Upon us creep. We wish you all goodnight!
